Barbara slept real good from 2:30 to 7 this morning. We had a good breakfast. Then she slept until lunch. After lunch we read and slept. It was a good day.

We have finished isaiah. 66 chapters. Barbara enjoys it when I read to her. It seems to relax her.

2-27-13

Barbara was restless after midnight. She told me she was really hungry at 5:30. O we got up and ate. She slept really good until lunch.

After lunch david Herold came by and barbara was a little restless. Just as he was leaving leanna came. Then barbara settled down and went to sleep until supper.

She always seems to sleep good right after she eats. She had a slight headache this afternoon. That may be the reason she was restless.

2-26-13

Got up this morning with less than an inch of snow. Barbara had a good breakfast. Then she went back to bed She didn't sleep She was restless. We talked and we read but she didn't sleep. After lunch she was still restless so she got up and sat in the chair in the living room. After supper she went back to bed. She seem to be sleeping pretty good now.

Most of the snow has disappeared

Spent the afternoon in front of the fireplace reading.

Barbara was very restless last night beginning at 2 am. But then by 7 she was fast asleep. She has been very tired. She has slept most of the day.

It has been raining here most of the day. we have been told that we should get between 2 and 8 inches of snow. We will see

The nurse that comes to the house took barbara vitals and said that they we all within range. Blood pressure 120 over 70.

Barbara got up and had a good morning she slept while I went to church. After church david and Sherri peck came to visit. It was really good to see david and Sherri.

Barbara was restless this afternoon. She was not in pain but could not settle down and sleep. Then for some reason fell asleep. The human body is amazing

Happy birthday david. Wow 41 years ago you entered this world. A lot of things have happened since then Love you.

Barbara got up at 4 and ate then again at 7. Then david sarah and brian came to see barbara for David's birthday. I fixed everyone shipwreck their choice for breakfast.

Leanna had decided that we were going to fix Chinese food for David's birthday so we had Chinese food. My brother and nephew also came for lunch. It was good to see everyone.

Barbara did pretty good. She is very tired but was glad that we were able to get together with family

Everyone left so it was just Barbara and me for supper. That is ok we like each other.

We are thankful for the family that God has given us.

Wow did you see the beauty that God provided this morning. About 3 we were eating so was able to see outside. There was snow covering everything and ice in all the trees. But the moon was bright and it was beautiful outside. Then at 7 again we were eating and the sun came up and as it glistened on the ice covered trees and the snow covered ground it was awesome. barbara and I just watched it in amazement.
So today is girl scout thinking day. So we decided we were going to celebrate like we have in the past. We chose a country and then we prepared a meal that would be served in that country. So we chose England. And decided to have fish and chips. So we had fish and chips and celebrated thinking day.

Barbara enjoyed it a lot.

Barbara was restless this morning (wee hours). Then I gave her some medicine to calm her and after our second breakfast she slept like a baby until lunch of fish and chips.

This afternoon was just a normal day. Barbara is tired but not in any pain

2-21-13

Barbara got up this morning and it was white outside. Not much snow but white. Then Barbara took a nap. Then we had some guest from Oklahoma come. They were just like postal employees. Neither sleet rain or snow would keep them from seeing their friend barbara. Anyway it was good to see pam Amy and Cindy. They plus barbara went to see the fall foliage a couple of years ago. So we had lunch and talked then they headed back home. They wanted to get home before more storms.

So barbara had a good day. She got to see good friends and felt pretty good.

It is all white tonight as we have about and inch of snow. It sure makes everything look pretty.

2-20-13

Barbara didn't sleep well last night. She kept getting up to eat. She said that her stomach hurt and she was eating to get rid of the stomach ache. Well I gave her some medicine to calm her stomach and she slept most of the day. I hope that she will be able to sleep tonight.

It snowed today but nothing stuck. So we have brown ground nothing white. We are supposed to get a few inches of snow tonight. We will see. I took a picture of the gnome sign. Notice there is no snow.

Barbara got up at 4 and had breakfast. Then I went to bible study. When I go home at 7:30 we ate again. Then barbara slept until the shower lady came. After that we had lunch. Then we had another nap. Barbara seemed to be ok no pain today just very tired. At breakfast there were 10 deer in the back yard. They just ambled across the field not in a hurry at all.

Barbara got up and had a good breakfast. She then took a nap until lunch. An old friend came by at lunch. Then the nurse came and checked her vital signs. They were pretty good. Then leanna arrived then david and Suzzann came by and brought supper. They ate with us then barbara went back to bed. So it was a busy day for barbara. She had some stomach ache after lunch but that went away.

2-17-13

Barbara still has an appetite. She ate at 3, 7,10,12:30, 4, 6:30. I am glad that she is still eating. I was able to go to church. Then after lunch she sat in the living room and watched (slept) golf. Then she got hungry and I fed her and she laid down on the bed.

So it was a good day. As I told them at church she is just real tired

First breakfast at 4:30. Second at 7. Yep barbara still has a good appetite. Thanks to the visitors we had today. I know you think that you kept barbara from resting but she enjoyed each visit. She may not talk to you but she hears each of your conversations. Yes we talk about each of the visits

We did take a couple of naps today. Barbara is tired but not in pain

It sure looked good today but just cold.

Barbara got up early and had a good breakfast. We went back to bed and I read from psalms to her for an hour. Then she went to sleep. When the shower lady came she Tito a shower and then we ate. After a nap we continued to read in psalms. We had fish for supper.
Barbara felt pretty good all day.

Weather wise couldn't believe it was February. Great weather. Thanks God

Happy valentines day. Barbara had breakfast and was back in bed by 6. She rested for a while and then we read the book of job. Then I grilled her a steak for lunch. We just had a good valentines day. We exchanged gifts and the we took a nap.

After a nap we began reading the book of psalms. So we spent a couple of hours reading.

So barbara had a good day. She rested but wanted to do something. That is a good sign

2-13-13

Barbara got up and had breakfast by 6. Then she went back to bed. She rested all morning. After lunch leanna left to go home. She wants to spend a little time with her husband.

By the way all us husbands and male types. Tomorrow is valentines day. Make your sweetheart happy by doing something special for her. No dust pans or vacuum sweepers

Well when we got up there was about an inch of snow on the ground it sure looked pretty. But the temperature got up to 52 so all the snow melted.

Barbara has not had any pain but she is just tired She sleeps or at least rests about 21 hours a day.

Barbara got up at 3 and was hungry. So she ate then. At 7 she got up and had a real breakfast. Then she slept until the shower lady came. After that she had lunch. She went back to bed after lunch. This afternoon nieces Rhonda and Rachel came by to see barbara. It was good to see both.

As we were getting ready to eat supper pastor Greg and Mona came. They had supper with us.

It had started to snow before supper. Did you know that God makes each snow flake different from all others just like he makes us people different from all other people. The snow flakes were very big. I am so glad we have a God that cares about each of us. He cares about us as individuals and also about the detail of making snow flakes different from each other. Pretty awesome

2-11-13

We had our first breakfast at 1 then again at 6:30. She rested until the nurse came then we ate lunch with Barbara's brother john and Rosy. Then after lunch john rosy and Rhonda came to visit Barbara.

After they left Barbara couldn't get settled. This morning the nurse gave leanna and I some medicine that would relax barbara. So we gave her some and that seemed to help. She is sleeping as I write this.

Pray that a good nights sleep will help her.

She still continues to eat with vigor. She said she does not have pain just a restless feeling

Barbara got up at 6 and we had breakfast. Then at 9 david sarah and brian arrived. David and sarah wanted to get some childhood pictures for the book they are preparing for the adoption agency. Brian came to see his wife. Brian and I went to church. David and sarah looked for pictures. Leanna and barbara had a devotion

After church we went to sonny and Judy's for family dinner. So we could all see Erica. Becky's new daughter. She is 5. So we got to see becky elena Erica and brad is home from the carrier for a month. He is being reassigned to be an instructor on the east coast. So it was a good day. Barbara got very tired so we came home to rest. This evening her brother john came to visit. It was good to see john and rosy.

Barbara got up and had breakfast. When she went back to bed I decided that I was going to get a lot done. But the lawn mower wouldn't start so I couldn't take it to get tuned up. Hum I guess it need more than I thought

So my next project was to cut down 2 40 foot trees that had been destroyed by a beatle. So I started that then before lunch our niece came to visit wit her new adopted daughter. So I had to spend time getting to know our niece. She was a little shy about getting to know Barbara. But I will post pictures if possible. Then it was lunch time. Then david and Suzzann came by to visit. David was trying to set a record of watching 4 basketball games in one day. Barbara just laughed at him

So I did get the two trees down but did not get the limbs cleaned up. Oh well another day

Barbara worried about me all afternoon. So after supper when i was safe inside away from big boy toys she went right to sleep

This morning at 4 barbara and I read the entire book of Nehemiah

Barbara got up and had breakfast then she took a nap till lunch. While earring the shower lady came. So she had her shower and then took a nap. Leanna came this afternoon.

Very slow day. One of the cats sleeps on barbara pillow. She like it. Crazy woman.

We got 1/2 inch of rain. That is a lot. So we praise God for the rain.

We got up at 5:30 and had breakfast. She was very restless after breakfast. Finally at 8 she fell asleep and slept very sound until 11:30. After lunch we took a short nap then David Herold came to visit. After that Barbara retreat then she got up and sat in the living room with me until I fixed supper

So we had a good day.

I forgot to tell you something funny that happened yesterday. The cat "honey" wanted to go outside. So I let her go. The first time she went out she ate grass and then wanted to come back in. Then she wanted to go outside again. So I let her go out. I left her out about an hour. Then I went out to find her. She was in the shed but didn't want me to catch her so she ran up a cottonwood tree. The first limb is about 20 feet above the ground. Well I thought that there was no way that I would be able to go up the tree on a ladder to get her. So I tried the shaking the food trick. She looked at me and climbed on several limbs to try to get down. Then she came down the tree backwards. I had never seen a cat climb down a tree backwards. It was pretty funny. Yes I did give her a treat for coming down.

Barbara got up early and had breakfast. The reason we got up early was that the phone rang. It was a pastor from Nigeria. He just wanted to know how barbara was so they could pray for her. Barbara is very grateful for all the prayers . She went back to sleep after breakfast she didn't sleep good last night so she needed to sleep. Ok so did I. Then Suzzann came with lunch. We gave her some "zingers" for desert at Awana's tonight.

Barbara was real restless this afternoon so we just hung out and talked and read. After supper she was ready for bed. Hope she sleeps good tonight. So far she has been sleeping sound.

Barbara got up and ate then she napped until leanna left to go back to OKC. Then the shower lady came. Barbara felt better after a shower. Then we had lunch thanks to aunt Neila. After a nap brad thompson came by to visit. He has been stationed in Japan for the last 3 plus years. It was good to see him.

Pretty slow day. We did a lot of reading.

Another busy day. Barbara got up and ate a good breakfast. Then she took a nap
Pastor Drue from OKC came to visit. We had lunch and while eating the nurse came to check on barbara. After Drue left aunt Neila came by and brought some food for us to eat.

Then my brother and his wife judy came by and had supper with us. Judy was excited to be home from china. She and becky had gone to pick up Becky's adopted daughter. Judy was very tired but it was good to see her and my brother

Barbara is still very tired but she is resting well

Barbara got up and had a good breakfast. Then she took a nap. Brian and I went to church. Leanna and Michelle stayed home with barbara and had church here. Then we had lunch and brian and Michelle headed back to OKC.

Barbara just rested after the big day she had yesterday I expected that today would be a day of rest because barbara used so much energy yesterday.

Wow what a day. Barbara got up and ate breakfast then went back to sleep. At 10:30 the door bell rang and Michelle platt from OKC was here. Wow it was good to see her but she said that leanna should look out the window for deer. To her surprise someone was in our field. I went running out and it was brian. He had come up with michelle but wanted to surprise leanna. Mission accomplished.

Last week brian took leanna out to ihop and barbara told him she would love to go to ihop with him. Well brian came in and asked barbara if she wanted to go to ihop. Well the biggest grin and an immediate yes answer followed. So barbara got dressed and we headed to Joplin (the closest ihop). About 10 miles from the house barbara began to question if she should go but decided that she wanted to continue. So we drove to Joplin and ate at ihop.

While in Joplin we went geocaching. Barbara got one more geocache

Then we came home and I put barbara to bed and the door bell rang and it was ac and virginia from chickasha. They drove up just to have supper with barbara. Wow we do have great friends
So ac and I went to get supper and we had a great meal with them here at the house.

Barbara told me that God has blessed us with good friends and family

Ok at 5 tonight my brother called. He was leaving the Kansas city airport and he had becky judy Erica Elena and brad with him. So Becky's little girl has been adopted and is in Kansas city They had spend 2 weeks in china signing papers to make it all legal. And to top it off brad came back from being stationed in Japan for over 3 years. He is being reassigned to a base in virginia. They are happy that they had safe travels and are back home with sonny and Elena.

Barbara got hungry and we ate at 6 then we took a nap. I was tired. Then the nurse came and checked on Barbara. Then a pastor came by to pray with her then a guy came by to do paperwork for Barbara's care. He was here 3 hours. I tried to keep him in the kitchen so he wouldn't bother Barbara. I was hoping she could get a little rest. Well we finally had linch in front of him while he finished up the paperwork that the government requires

This afternoon barbara was able to rest. Whew

This evening david and Suzzann came by to see barbara. Suzzann also brought food. So tomorrow for lunch we will be eating that food. Then pastor Greg and wife Mona came by. So it has been a big day for Barbara.

Received a call from David tonight. They had a burglary at their house. Someone took some of Sarah's jewelry, iPad , change,kindle. Also they discovered while talking to us that her mothers wedding ring was stolen also. Since her mother was in the hospital Sarah was keeping the ring for her mom. Thank God that david and sarah were not at home and not hurt David thinks that sarah came home and came in the back door and the burglar went out the front door. The police were called and responded.
