5-14-14

Thomas slept late. It was almost 5 when I got up with him. We had a nice lunch with dawn. We also gave a graduation present to melissa Gragg. Barbara and I attended her high school and college graduation. So I wanted to get her something for her masters degree. They changed the requirements and she will not be able to walk until next year. Oh well Thomas and I made her day. She was testing some students when they told her that she had guests. She has always be a neat girl now a young lady. 

This evening david sarah brian leanna Thomas and I had supper in Norman. Thanks for a good time. 

5-13-14

Very quiet day. Just took care of Thomas. Then this afternoon we went to see doctor. He weights 13 pounds 2 oz and is 22 1/2 inches tall. So he is well within the normal range of a 2 month old. The doctor wants us to put him on his stomach more each day for development of his neck.  

So it was a good doctors visit plus he received his shots for a 2 month old. 

5-12-14

Got up at 4 to take care of Thomas  we went to Leanna's school to have lunch with her

Then this evening david and sherry peck and Steve Childress and I  had dinner. We just talked about old. Times  and about new dreams. It was a good evening. David is going to be retiring this year and they will buy a house and move off campus for the first time in 40 years. 

Exciting  times. 

5-11-14

Went to church. I had children church. I taught about john 3:16. Where God sent His sone to die on a cross for out eternal life. Then we had a missionary couple speak about going to India. I very much miss going on mission trips. 

So after church Michelle and Jon day came over and taught me about grace. Thank you Jon and Michelle  so not all teaching or learning is done in a church. And I am not too old to learn something

It was a  windy day but did get the yard mowed

Then I headed back to OKC for manny duty. I get to take care of Thomas again this week. The wind was still blowing hard. Saw an 18 wheeler that had been blown off the road. So I took extra care while driving to OKC.

5-10-14

Got up early and drove to Tulsa for a VMI board meeting. It was a good meeting.  

After the meeting I headed home. Got here In Time to take a shower and go to the lchs alumni banquet met one of the graduates that is going to attend john brown university. Enjoyed talking to her  and her parents.

It was supposed to rain but didn't.

Pretty day outside. Thomas and I surprised leanna and met her at school. She wasn't expecting us. Then we went shopping. When we got home we ate outside and spend some time in the fresh air. This evening david sarah leanna brian Thomas and I had dinner together. I do enjoy the family. 

5-8-14

Had a good day. Thomas and I went to uncle David's and aunt sarah for our outing today. Had a good time with them. Sarah is trying to get a quilt done so she was busy. David finally after two years work hooked up olets with the city. That enables them to get criminal background by the police officer on the street. Should be better for the officers. It just happened at the same time as he is busy moving the police department into a new facility. I think you call that job security. 

Spent quality time with Thomas.
