didn't get much done today. Went to church and came home and took a nap. Then back to church

So it was a real quiet day 

Some days we just need that. 

7-13-13

Got up early and started working outside on the yard. Was outside by 7:30 and got done at6:30. The cats and the dog was with me all day following me as I did various yard duties. Well after I took a shower this is what I found on the front porch. I think they were all tired. Notice there is room for me to sit on the front porch with Elijah the wonder dog

Just got an e mail from pastor Greg. They have arrived in India and they have hit the ground running. Although both of the guys are sick they are continueing to teach. They ask for our prayers

7-12-13

Slow day

I got up and spent some time outside putting termite treatment on my mulch. Then I worked on finances. I tried to get caught up and ready for taxes. 

Then I took a mandatory nap. 

I went to see my brother and mason ANSI got beat in cards. Sonny judy becky all ganged up on mason and I and beat us by 500 points. 

Oh well we will get them next time. 

7-11-13

Got up this morning and worked on the lesson for church. Since Greg is in India I will be leading the service at church. Kind of scary. I think that I have an outline and have a good idea of how to present the material.

Then this afternoon I mowed the yard.

It tried to rain this morning but not near enough to help the crops

I am sitting outside with my guard dog and two guard cats. Not sure they would be effective guards. But they like to be close when I am outside

7-10-13

Drove back to Kansas today.

Was impressed by sarah and her drive to help the people of Moore. This morning prior to leaving Oklahoma I helped sarah unload quilts that she had Alec to be mad to be given to those that lost everything in the tornado. She called it quilts for Moore

Well there were over a 1000 quilts at city hall this morning. I watched as two teachers came in and showed pictures of what used to b their homes and also pictures of their destroyed vehicles. Then they picked up a quilt. Others came in also but I left Thanks sarah for having the courage strength and compassion to help people in need

7-9-13

Went with leanna Jim Diane and aunt Lucretia to the Oklahoma history museum. I did not know that the real dust storm of 1935 was only in three counties in the panhandle of Oklahoma. I remember my father in law talking about the dust storm while he was in college in the panhandle of Oklahoma.

Then aunt Lucretia remember that as a little girl she collected cow chips to burn in the stoves. Remember there were no trees in this area at that time, only prairie It made the museum more real to go through it with aunt Lucretia who lived through it all

Then we ate at cattlemens Resturant before they left to fly back to California. It was real good to spend time with family this week.

7-8-13

Went and played golf with ac. We went to a course in Marlow. Great little course very well maintained

Then I went back to their house and worked on an upcoming cruise to Canada with them

Almost stayed too long as I was supposed to be at Toby Keith's to eat with david sarah leanna brian Jim Diane and aunt Lucretia. Had a good meal with them.
