The Herold family reunion is over and we have traveled back to OKC I think everyone had a good time. It was good to reacquaint ourselves. We have the reunion every other year

I found out today that a pastor friend of my has been having issues with his heart. He has received a stent. Please be in prayer for High

Also a prayer warrior who was a care giver for her deceased husband recently got remarried and now I found that her new husband has
colen cancer. Please pray for Marietta

I must have been tired last night because Sunday has come. Enjoyed church service this morning
Pastor Greg and wife Mona are leaving for 2 weeks on missionary trip to India. Please pray for them

At 10 we had the 3 aunts talk about growing up and what changes they saw in the last 80 years
Leanna made a special lunch for the aunts plus about 20 others. It was grandmother meatballs. They were good

Then this afternoon the cousins all answered questions. Tonight after the family photo we had an auction

44 years ago I married barbara Herold. Today I am at a Herold reunion. This morning I had breakfast with david sarah brian aunt Lucretia and aunt Margaret. It has been fun taking care of both of those ladies the last 2 days. Then after lunch we headed to Texas for the Herold reunion. It has been good seeing family that I haven't seen I two years as we have a Herold reunion every 2 years

I am so glad that God allowed me to marry barbara 44 years ago. Yes I miss her a lot but I know that because of her belief in Jesus Christ as personal savior she is on heaven. That gives me great peace

Tonight I am thankful for the good health of baby phoebe day and parents. They are all doing much better and the plan is to send them home on Monday

Also pastor Drue freeman's father was in failing health and the doctors said he was dying. Today they transferred him to a skilled nursing home

Praise God for taking care of my friends and their families

Happy independence day

Weather was wonderful. We left Kansas this morning and drove to OKC. We made it to david and Sarah's for a cookout and swimming. I brought aunt Margaret and aunt Lucretia with me. Then we rested and went to the fireworks in Moore. So that is two nights in a row we have done fireworks

Just enjoyed being with my children and family both chosen and by birth. I am so blessed that God has allowed. E to have the family and friends that I have. Thank you God

Let the independence day celebration begin

Last night I had two of the Herold aunts at my house. We got up and had a leisurely breakfast on the back porch. Then we went to visit aunt Ethel in the. Using home. It was good to see her and below is a picture of the three of them. Two are in their 90's and one in the late 80's.
Then I took them to david and suzzan's farm. We had lunch and home made ice cream.

After lunch the aunts went to aunt neila's for rest and talking. I went to see my brother and sister along with becky mason Erica and Elena.

Then I came home and took a nap. Then the kesslers called and asked if I would come over. So I went over for a "red, white, and blue party. If was fun the cookies, the jello the drinks were all red white and blue. Had fun with the grand kids. Ok also enjoyed the kids and nancy and Dwight

Then I picked up aunt Margaret and aunt Lucretia and took them to the Altamont fireworks display. As soon as we arrived the days drove up and Benjamin sat on my lap until it was time for the fireworks. We have finally made it home after a full day.

Tomorrow will be more independence day excitement

Got up this morning expecting to help a friend at their grocery store. Well the truck was late so it did not arrive until 1:30. So we unloaded the truck and then put the food on the shelves. It was good to be able to help a friend. They had let too many people off for the holiday week and were short handed

Then this evening the Herold family came into Labette county. We had 19 eating at supper. Then aunt Margaret and Aunt Lucretia came here to spend the next two nights. We just talked and had a good evening

Others in the family are staying at david herolds house or aunt Nelia's

Spent the morning in the yard. I sprayed the fruit trees to keep the bugs away. Then I put new Irish spring soap on all my nut trees and fruit trees as a deer retardent

I think it works so I put new bars of soap on today

Then I went and played golf. It was good to relax and hit the ball

This evening I went to have supper with sonny and judy. Mason and I were partners and were able to beat them in a game of cards
