Survivor week 42 day 7

Barbara got up and ate a good breakfast. She had an upset stomache. She took a nap until noon. stomache was gone. The therapist came and made Barbara walk.
Then we went to meet with Katy Herold. She and Brad are going to have a baby girl. She is in Kansas for a month and will then head back to Hawaii to be with Brad. It was good to see her. See picture

Overall it was a good day. It got chilly so we had to turn on the heater.

Survivor week 42 day 6

I think Barbara is crazy. This morning she asked for chili eggs and baked potato what a combination. Yep that is what she had for breakfast. Then she napped.

The beef liver angel had David bring liver for lunch so we had liver for lunch

Barbara has not had much pain today just tired she rests a lot and is still eating real good

Survivor week 42 day 5

Barbara woke up at 2 this morning and said she was hungry. We snacked then we got up at 7 and she ate a real breakfast. Wow did you see that sunrise this morning it was beautiful
Thank you God for arranging the sunrise this morning. Barbara sure enjoyed it.

She napped until lunch and then the therapist came and made Barbara walk. It wears her out but her legs are getting stronger. Pray that she continues to build muscle and gain strength Her platelets are low and she is void of energy but she still tries to function. After the therapist left she took a nap. This evening Leanna arrived for a few days. She and barbara spent the evening talking

She had a slight chest pain this afternoon but it soon passed. Hope it stays gone.

Survivor week 42 day 4

Barbara got up late this morning and did not feel well. She had less energy than usual. We ate breakfast and she napped then we ate lunch and the health care lady came then the nurse came.

Barbara took s nap and then started feeling better. She even began to look better.

I think she was just down because of the low blood platelet count. She still wants to get stronger and wants to beat this cancer thing. She knows that God has a plan for her.

Survivor week 42 day 3

Barbara got up early and was hungry
After breakfast she went back to sleep. Then we went and gave blood she was tired but we went out to eat after giving blood. Then the therapist came and Barbara walked for him. Then she went back to bed

Late this afternoon the oncologist called and said that her blood platelets were down to 52,000. Well that was a little depressing so I grilled Barbara a steak to help cheer her up and to build her blood platelets. The doctor advised that Barbara needed to be safe and not get any bruises or cut herself. We are still scheduled for an avastin treatment next Wednesday. So we will just try to build platelets this week and then head south next week

Survivor week 42 day 2

Barbara had breakfast but had a headache so she went back to bed
After I got home from church we had lunch and Barbara sat up and we watched the Ryder cup.
Pastor Greg and wife Mona came to visit Barbara. Then we had liver for supper. Hopefully that will increase Barbara's blood platelet count tomorrow

We are going to just relax this week and grow blood platelets.

Survivor week 42 day 1

Barbara got up late because she had such an exhausting but exciting day yesterday. Then Leanna left and headed home

Barbara was hungry and she asked if we could eat outside since it was so nice out. So we just had a little picnic in our front yard. It was a Beautiful day that God provided so it was nice to just enjoy it with the lady I love.

The rest of the day Barbara just rested. She still has a little head ache. Don't know what that is. It may just be neuropathy We will talk to the oncologist about that. It is not so bad that she wants to take medicine for it
