Survivor week 40 day 7

Barbara was very tired today from the traveling. So she ate and slept. Then at noon the physical therapist came then the nurse came and then the lady came to give Barbara a massage. When they left Barbara went back to sleep.

I read that avastin makes you very tired. Humm. She has been tired for some time

Leg pain is still there but not the intense pain of last month.

We are going to rest tonorrow

Survivor week 40 day 6

Had lunch with david and Leanna then we drove north to Altamont

We made it home and Barbara was real tired. I let her take a nap. Then we had supper. Immediately after supper Barbara wanted to go back to bed. I knew she was tired. After 4 days of riding in the car and she is exhausted. Her legs are swollen. I think from riding in the car

Barbara said she feels that the avastin is working and that she just feels better. Even though she is tired

Pray that she continues to improve

Survivor week 40 day 5

Got up and had appointment with dr fink. Barbara has lost 12 pounds. I think it was water retention. The doctor was impressed by the improvement Barbara has made in the last three weeks we will not be able to take chemo until her platelets get back up to 100,000

Please pray that on Monday her platelets reach that mark Then she had an avastin iv drip. We left Dallas and headed to chickasha. This week is Melissa Evon's birthday. We couldn't leave town without a little celebrating. So Barbara took a nap at Virginia's house before Melissa and Hayden got there.

It was a lot of fun to just relax and enjoy the time with friends and family.

It was a very long day for Barbara but she said she was glad we spent the time with the Hays and Evon's and martins.

Tomorrow we drive to Altamont

Survivor week 40 day 4

Got Barbara up and fed her and then she went back to bed. She was tired from yesterday's drive. While she slept Sarah and I went to best buy and bought Barbara an I pad for her birthday. Ok I know her birthday was last week but Altamont does not have a best buy. Besides I needed help from Sarah. We got the I pad then went to the AT&T store and hooked her phone up as a hot spot. Now Barbara will be able to use her I pad wherever she is. Thanks Sarah for helping me with the technology. Then I took the I pad to David who got it ready for Barbara

I think the I pad will help Barbara use her brain

Appreciate both of them for helping me

Then Leanna Barbara and I drove to Dallas. We have an early appointment at Baylor medical center. After the appointment Barbara will get the avastin drip

Pray that she will not have any bad side effects from the avastin

Survivor week 40 day 3

Barbara got hungry at 1:00 this morning. So we had breakfast. Then we had breakfast again when she got up at 8:30. She still has an appetite. She gave blood this morning. The oncologist called and said that her blood platelets were at 88,000. They said that they would still do the avastin drip on Wednesday. Now I understand why Barbara doesn't have any energy

Her leg pain has lessened but is still present

We drove to OKC today and are staying at Leanna and Brian's. We will drive to Dallas tomorrow and see the doctor on Wednesday morning then return to Altamont on Thursday

Survivor week 40 day 2

Barbara talked about going to church but didn't have the energy. I went to church and then fixed her lunch. Then we took a nap
Barbara seems to be getting stronger but still gets very tired.

She gives blood tomorrow and then we head to OKC for a doctors appt. on wednesday

Survivor week 40 day 1

Today was a day of rest. My son says Sunday is a day of rest but we decided that it was raining and we were going to rest

Barbara ate lots of proteins between naps.

She had a slight head ache and an upset stomach. I also had an upset stomach so it must have been something I cooked for us. Anyway by the time she went to bed the only ache she had was in her leg
